An Amazing Moment

一件奇妙的事发生了!只有神能做!

A Simple but Significant Moment -

一个单纯却神圣的时刻

This morning, as usual, I drove Josiah to school.

如同每天的早晨, 我开车送康儿去学校.

While driving to school, Josiah suddenly asked, “Dad, when I get old, will I die?”
快到学校的路上, 康儿突然问我, “爹地, 当我老的时候, 我会死吗?

Hmmm…That was not what I was expecting. Therefore, I said, “Josiah, yes, everyone will get old. When we get old, we will eventually die.” 
…这不是我预料的童言童语, 我应着他, “康, 每个人都会老.我们终究都会死去.”

Silence for a few seconds. Then I think with the wisdom and prompting from the Holy Spirit, I said to Josiah “You know everyone that knows Jesus, when they die, they will go live with Him.”  Josiah looked at me and said, “Will Jesus make them young again?”  
彼此的思考在几秒的沉默中, 圣灵用智能叮咛我当说的话, “康康, 若人是认识且接受耶稣的, 他们死后会与耶稣同在.”康儿盯着我问, “耶稣会使他们再年轻吗?”

In my mind, I was elated, because you can see how the mind of a little boy works… To answer, I replied “Jesus, does not need to make them young again, when you die and you go live with Jesus, He will give you a new body, new health and new everything. In addition, you will live with Him forever! That is what we call heaven”
我的心充满欣悦, 因你可看出这个小脑袋正在思深虑远这人生死后的意义…我继续回答, “耶稣毋需让他们再年轻, 因为与耶稣在一起的人, 衪会给你一个全新的身体, 一切都会被祂更新, 而且你会永远与衪同在, 这就是我们所相信的天堂.

With that, Josiah turned quiet again. However, I know he was thinking… Deep thought really. I then continued, “Josiah, do you want to live with Jesus forever in heaven when you grow old?” Josiah said without hesitation “Yes.” “Can you pray with me and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior so that you can live with Jesus forever in heaven?” I said. Josiah again said “Yes.” I then had the privilege to lead my own son to pray to accept Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. We prayed, “Lord Jesus, thank you because you love me. I want to accept you as my Lord and Savior. I will obey you and follow you all my life. Please take away my sins and help me to be more like you. Thank you for giving me life so I can live with you in heaven forever. In Your name, we pray. Amen.” 
小康儿又回到静肃的思考里, 身为父亲的我知道他在沈思, 而且是凝神的深思.

“康, 当你老的时候, 你要与耶稣在天堂里永远同住吗?”康儿毫不犹豫地答着 “我要!”

我继续问他, “你要与我一起祷告, 并接受耶稣是你生命的主宰和救主, 所以将来你在天堂就可以永远有耶稣的同在?”康儿再一次回道, “我要!”

我很荣幸地带领我心爱的儿子祷告, 接受耶稣做他各人生命的主宰和救主, “主耶稣, 谢谢你爱我, 我要接受你是我生命的主宰和救主.我要顺服且跟随你.谢谢你赦免我的罪, 且要帮助我更有你的形像.谢谢你给我生命, 所以我在天堂会永远与你同住, 奉主耶稣的名祷告, 阿门.”

It was a very simple moment. However, it was a significant moment. Now, all members (all three of us) of this family belong to Jesus. What a joy this is.

这是一个单纯的时刻, 也是一个生死抉择神圣的时刻, 从现在起, 我们一家三口全属耶稣所有, 与我们同庆贺吧!
